The Qur’an & the Soul’s Alchemy

AppId is over the quota

By: Abu Aaliyah (Surkheel Sharif)

The Prophet ?allallahu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) remarked:

'The best of you is the one who learns the Qur'an and teaches it to others.'1

For Muslims, notwithstanding the sheer beauty of its composition and its cadences, the Qur'an is a repository of revealed teachings, a roadmap for the journey through life, and a fountain of timeless truths to meditate upon; deepening endlessly one's sense of the divine glory. Moreover, the Qur'an is of God: His Word, Wisdom and Divine Will. God sub?anahu wa ta'ala (glorified and exalted be He) says:

17:82

We send down in the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss. [Al-'Isra':82]

10:57

O mankind! There has come to you a counsel from your Lord, and a healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers. [Yunus: 57]

Its name is indeed telling, for the word Qur'an, in Arabic, literally means a 'recital' or 'that which is recited'. To this end the Qur'an is possibly the most read or recited book in the world. It is certainly the world's most memorised book, and is probably the one that exerts the most influence over its readers. It is a book that has caused countless people throughout history to accept its message upon reading it, or hearing its recital. It has moved hearts to tears, healed spiritual wounds, incapacitated opponents, and astounded academics and artisans alike. The essence of its message is that there is only one God: Allah sub?anahu wa ta'ala (glorified and exalted be He), who created and sustains the material universe and the world of human experience, and that only He is to be deified and worshiped.

The alchemical effect of the Qur'an, the deep transformative impact it has upon the human soul, is such that even its most ardent of opponents have been profoundly affected by it. One such example is of 'Utbah bin Rabi'ah who, on hearing the Prophet recite the Qur'an, was compelled by its sheer and utter sublimity to confess: 'I have heard an utterance the like of which I have never heard. By God! It is neither poetry, sorcery nor soothsaying. O men of Quraysh, listen to me and do as I bid. Do not come between this man and what he is about, but leave him be. For by God, the words I have heard from him will soon cause a great stir.'2

This sublimity was felt too by Goethe – the nineteenth century German poet, novelist, statesman and scholar – who wrote in his West-Oestlicher Divan how, after inspiring initial astonishment and fear, the Qur'an 'soon attracts, astounds, and, in the end, enforces our reverence. Its style, in accordance with its content and its aim, is stern, grand, terrible, ever and anon truly sublime. Thus, this book will go on exercising, through the ages, a most potent influence.'3

Thus it is a case of pouring the Qur'an's healing over our spiritual wounds, and allowing it to work its miracle: Is there any, then, to take heed? [Al Qamar: 17] ˜

What Did Jesus REALLY Say?
Bible Quran_Burn

We received the following question from our dear brother who is giving dawah to Christians, may Allah reward him.

As Salamo Alaykum,

InshaAllah, you doing good sir.

I having a discussion with a Christian friend. I told him no where Jesus (pbuh) claimed
divinity or asked people to worship him. But he said that but Jesus did accept the worship
from people and did not object to it when they worshiped him. That means he demanded worship.
Some references below (got from website, he gave one of these). How do I respond to him?

were in the boat worshiped Him saying, "You are certainly God's Son!" These people are not
just tipping their hats to an esteemed person. In Matthew 28:17 it says, "And when they saw
Him, [the risen Jesus Christ whom they knew had been dead and was now alive] they worshiped
Him." And then in John 9:38 the man blind from birth is healed. He said, "Lord, I believe."
And he worshiped Him.>>

May Allah reward you.

Answer: Allahu 'Alim

First of all, it is Allah who has all knowledge and we have only what Allah gives us. Even then we still have to refer back to the Quran and the sunnha of the prophet, peace be upon him, to find answers.

Let's consider a comparison of the sources:

Can this man produce the authentic Bible? Has he really seen it? Did the Bible come in English (No. There was no English until after the Normans invaded the Saxons in the year 1066 C.E.)

Are we talking about a mistranslation from Hebrew and Aramaic to Latin, to Greek, to English or what?

What about the Quran? Can we produce it in Arabic today? Do we have over 20,000,000 (twenty million) who have memorized it from cover to cover in Arabic? Has it been preserved? Can we see actual copies of the written material on display? (Topkopi museum in Istanbul, museum in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, museum in UK, etc.), as well as ancient manuscripts from all periods of time for the last 1,400 years.

www.AllahsQuran.com and www.QTafsir.com

So what is the argument here?

Bible says "God is not a man" and "God is not the son of man"

Numbers 23:19

Now ask him to read about the real Jesus in the real Last Testament of God (Holy Quran). Quran means recitation and we still recite it today, just as it came from the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

Quran says,

"Say, He is Allah the uniquely One! Eternally sought after by all creation! No the father and not the son! Not like anything - He is Uniquely One!" (chapter 112)

There is no problem for us. We know the truth.

But it is not our job to guide these people. We only deliver the message and then move on to the next one and if someone likes to know more and they are seriously looking for guidance from God, He will Guide them in His way when He is ready.

Mohamed Made Up Quran?

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

NOTE: Comments at bottom of this article show some people are confused about this. They attack the author on his honesty and integrity. Your comments could help. Please write clearly and make good points to these people. Ask Allah to guide them, inshallah.

No. Muhammad, peace be upon him, did not write the Quran. He was not able to do so, because he was illiterate. He could neither read nor write and there are many who attested to this fact.

No person "made up" the Quran.  The Quran came down to Muhammad, peace be upon him, from Almighty God (Allah) by way of the angel Gabriel (Jibril in Arabic) and then it was memorized by him and he then in turn, would teach it orally to his companions.

It would be illogical that anyone would WRITE the Quran, because the word "Quran" actually means the "Recitation" (spoken words).

How do you "write sounds" recited words? - You actually only write what you hear. People can only write down what they have heard of the "Quran" (Recital) as Muhammad, peace be upon him, recited it to them.

When we have the Quran in written, book form it is usually referred to as 'scripture' ('mus-haf' in Arabic), although it is still Quran to us. So, while it is of course, possible to write down in book form, what we hear in some form or another, the main point is that Muhammad, peace be upon him, did not make up, fabricated or invent the words in the Quran. And there would be no way he could, as he was illerate and unable to read or write.

So, the question would be correct to ask in this way...

Now this question is easy.

According to the Quran's teachings, it came directly to Muhammad, peace be upon him, from the angel Gabriel (Ar. Jibril), who received it from Almighty God (Allah) and then he recited it to Muhammad, peace be upon him, piece by piece, sentence by sentence, revealing small and large portions of it over a period of 23 years.

The actual assembly and order of verses was never changed by Muhammad, peace be upon him. It was Jibril, the Angel of Allah, who instructed as to what should go where every time more of the Quran was revealed.

"If Muhammad didn't know to read/write, then his friends needed to write Quran (like the Bible) -- right?

NO! Again, they didn't need to write it down to preserve it, althought they did. They all completely memorized it from what they heard.
Some of them wrote it down on animal skins, others on large stones or palm leaves, because the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, instructed them to do so. So, they did write down what they had heard and that is Quran in written form. They all memorized the Quran for themselves and passed it down the same way they got it. The mouth to ear method of memorizing is still used the same way today for modern Muslims.

-- Could they have misinterpreted or did they possibly modify or add or delet any verses of Quran?"

NO! Allah tells us in the Quran itself, "If you are in doubt about it, bring a book like it" - So, we see that it is a book, yes. But it is not the same as an ordinary book written or made up by humans and that is our main point here.

Get the facts for yourself - straight from the source - from Allah's Quran (in Arabic)
Then decide what you think about "Allah's Quran"

Answer: TEN POINTS OF UNDERSTANDING QURAN'S REVELATION

Thank you for asking about Islam and the Quran.

All seekers of truth are invited to offer their questions about Islam, the world's fastest growing religion, and all that it teaches.

Islam is based on the teachings of the Holy Quran and as such it is our distinguished pleasure to offer the following information about the heart and soul of Islam - The Holy Quran

We have observed in your line of reasoning within your question, a number of misconceptions and mistakes. Therefore, we would like to start with clarification of the following TEN POINTS:

1st - and foremost, as mentioned in another answer, the prophet, peace be upon him, did not read or write. Therefore, it was be impossible for him to write the Quran.

Second, the word actually has the meaning of "recitation" or "reciting" something. Therefore, it doesn't make sense to say, "Who 'wrote' it". It should be, "Who 'recited' it?"

The "Recitation of Quran" was first heard by Muhammad, peace be upon him, from Allah's Angel, Jibril (Gabriel). Then Muhammad, peace be upon him, memorized it and in turn, recited it to his companions and they memorized and recited it to the next generation and that generation memorzied and recited it to the next and so on, until this very day.

2nd - The companions wrote out their recitings on animal skins, bones of animals and large stones and even on wide palm leaves. These were wriiten down by companions who had memorized the Quran from the recitation they had heard rectied to them. This was called "mushaf" (meaning - written scriptures and is pronounced moos-haf), and was recorded and written down during the prophet's life.

3rd - The prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, did ask about a dozen or so of those who memorized Quran from him, to record it. And as mentioned earlier, they did as instructed, writing on various mediums, including animal skins (leather), large rocks, bark and palm leaves.

He then rehearsed it with them over and over - even up until the time of him passing away.

4th - Three of the actual Qurans printed in the time of the earliest companions of Muhammad, peace be upon him, exist today and these are exactly as we recite from Quran today.
One is in Tashkent, Uzbekistan museum, another in a museum in England and the last one in the Topkopi Museum in Istanbul, Turkey.

Active Image5th - We are happy to tell you, the Quran was recorded in the hearts and minds of more than 10,000 men and women while the prophet, was still alive.

He rehearsed it over and over with his companions day after day and in its entirety from cover to cover, out loud, every Ramadhan (lunar month of Muslim calendar).

6th - You do not need to worry about honesty and integrity in narration of those people who preserved the Quran in their hearts.

Every one of them was very well known. The honesty and integrity of each and every single one of these people (called companions of the prophet) has been attested to by many authentic narrations and writings. All of them were known for their excellent memorization and they recited and passed on the Quran exactly the same as each other.

These companions and their next generation memorized it the same as people do today. It was always from mouth to ear and in the exact manner of recitation. This is in itself, an amazing thing.

No other book on earth has ever had such distinction in this area.

7th - There is no other book on earth like the Quran. Its style and prose in the Arabic language is unmatched for 14 centuries. The prophecies, predictions, scientific evidences, ease of memorization and ability to comprehend is beyond compare.

8th - You can safely put your mind to rest on this subject of preservation of the Holy Quran, because of its presence with us even today, throughout the entire world. Besides the Quran being preserved in museums in Turkey and Uzbekistan, there are those who have it totallly memorzied, by heart.

Today every single living Muslim (over 1 billion) has memorized some portion of the Quran in the original Arabic language that it came in, just as the people memorized it over 1,400 years ago. And amazingly enough, over 9 million men, women and children have the entire Quran in their hearts and can recite it for you from cover to cover.

9th - Allah Himself, has promised to preserve the Quran until the Last Days. And He has, both in book form and in the hearts of so many believers.

Consider this statement - scriptureIt is the only book on earth that - if you destroyed every book on earth - we would be able to bring it back, exactly as it was, every single letter from cover to cover (by the permission of Allah)

So, these are facts about the Quran and how it was and is, preserved just as Allah has said, in the Quran - That He will preserve it and make it easy to memorize.

10th - You can prove it for yourself, if you doubt.

The Quran of today can be easily checked by Muslims anywhere on the earth. And there can be no doubt in the mind of any Muslim whether or not what is being recited here in India is the same as what is being recited in Arabia or Africa or in the USA for that matter.

You are most welcome to review the facts and consider for yourself.

Now here is your chance to verify these claims, as the Quran makes these claims within itself about its own authenticity:

* "This is the Book (Qur'an) wherein there is no doubt"
*"Have not the unbelievers considered that if it were from other than Allah, it would contain many contradictions?"
* "Allah shall show them the Signs within themselves and on the farthest horizons."
* "If you are in doubt about it, bring a book like it."

Reading Mus-haf (the written form of the Quranic Recitation)To date, none have been able to produce anything even close to the Quran in beauty, style, meaning and prophecies. The scientific proofs and evidences make the Quran the most talked about book in the intellectual world today.

Bible & Quran (Both?)
Here is the Proof For Muslims & Christians
Someone wrote to us asking,

"Can You Help Me?
Christians claim the Bible is God's Word
~ Muslims claim the Quran is the Speeck of Allah ~
Does either Book have authenticity?"

YES! We check it out NOW - click www.BibleIslam.com

Here's a problem from a brother (in Canada) who does dawah online - A Christian wrote to him who attacked Quran with little or no knowledge of Quran (or Bible for that matter).

Read the email sent to him by the Christian...

Here is my honest explanation of why I do not believe the Qur’an but I do believe the Bible.

First reason I do not find the Qur’an credible is that it was "revealed" to one man who's philosophy changed radically from the beginning of his "revelation" to the end.

After he got a big following to build an army, he stopped preaching peace and started preaching conquest by force.
I'm very sorry to sound insulting, and I don't mean to be personally offensive, but from my perspective Mohammed appears to be a schizophrenic (goes away to a cave to hear voices no one else can hear) with an ever mounting paranoia and messiah complex on the same order as Adolph Hitler.

I know that could sound harsh, but I don't think there's any way to state that opinion honestly without sounding a bit rude.

Now the Bible, was revealed to many many authors over the course of thousands of years. Reading it from cover to cover shows us that God is willing to do whatever it takes to build a relationship with us.

In the beginning of the Bible God commands the Jews to conquer their enemies and those in opposition to His sovereignty, but there is firm evidence that violent overthrow of societies does not draw people to God.

He clearly demonstrates throughout the course of the historical books that violence is NOT the way to bring people to an understanding of himself.

Consistently throughout the Bible God shows us that the punishment for our sinfulness is death, and he ALWAYS provides a satisfactory solution to this problem without us having to take the punishment.

The Quran says that Abraham took Ishmael to mountain top, and the Torah says he was to sacrifice Isaac, but the point of both stories is that a sacrifice is required.

The story of the Passover is more evidence of the need for a sacrifice to cover God's people. Jesus is the final sacrifice lamb. He takes the punishment we deserve...

God made a provision yet again so that we can remain in relationship with him. Why? Because in spite of our sinfulness, in spite of the fact that we don't deserve a relationship with Him, God LOVES us. He's willing to go even to the point of SELF-SACRIFICE to be with us for eternity.

We're not capable of performing enough good deeds, praying often enough, giving enough money or traveling far enough to pay the debt. Only the almighty God Himself can do it. I understand that Surah 22 explains that infidels like me will receive a shameful chastisement, and that you believe that my "doubt" is evidence that I deserve harsh judgment, but don't you think a fairly objective view is required in order to have an honest faith

OK next:

- Now have you ever looked at the Koran in chronological order?

Have you ever looked at Mohammed as a person rather than a prophet?

What evidence does he give that he is credible beyond the fact that he led many armies in violent conquest?

Jesus consistently demonstrated peace. He never led an army or harmed a single person. He went to the cross in silent sacrifice. He consistently taught that our relationship with God is evident in our treatment of the people around us. Jesus consistently taught that we need to be humbly aware of our shortcomings and able to forgive and love those around us for their shortcomings.

Jesus taught us that we will be known as his followers if we love one another. He taught us to be gracious just as God is gracious. He performed miracles witnessed by hundreds that did no harm to anyone and demonstrated God's good will towards us. Most importantly, He died and came back to life to demonstrate God's forgiveness and that even death cannot conquer God. Which of these men demonstrate an understanding of the one true God who desires peace for his people.

I can't speak for you, but I choose Jesus.

Signed,
[a Caring Christian]

PS: Actully I only read some of the Koran and Bible before I accepted Jesus.

I read some parts of Quran, but mostly books on religion and history before coming to Christ.

"Remember... Love one another..."
I'm waiting for you reply, please reply me as soon as possible & come to Jesus.

[ANSWER]:
Here is information on the Quran:

To our Muslim brother who sent the letter from the "Caring Christian":

Salam alaykum,

Thank you for your kind letter and for you encouraging words. Certainly this is most appreciated and goes quite a long way with us.

Quran vs_Bible01

Regarding the letter you attached from the "Christian" - let me say that this is a very deep subject and not one for a single email. But I can give you a brief insight as to what I might do in a similar situation.

First, I do not like it when someone pretends to be 'hesitating' to say something at first, but as you read on they don't hestiate at all, even by comparing our beloved prophet, peace be upon him, to Adolf Hitler. This is absolutely uncalled for and inappropriate.

Next, I would like to encourage everyone to read what we have published about both the Quran and the Bible:

www.AllahsQuran.com

www.IslamCode.com

www.Qtafisr.com

www.IslamTomorrow.com/free

We know the Qur'an (Recitation of Allah) is exactly preserved and memorized as it was during the lifetime of the holy prophet, peace be upon him. This cannot be disputed because we have over 20 million who have memorized the entire Quran from cover to cover, word for word, all around the world and any one of them can bring it back just as it was at the time of the prophet, peace be upon him. Every Muslim in the world (over 1.5 billion) knows at least portions in the Arabic language, although 88% are not even Arabs.

On the other hand, Bible scholars themselves know that nothing of the original words, letters or even original copies of the Old or the New Testament exist anymore. Nothin in the original form either in memory or written text exists anywhere on the earth, nor has it existed as such for at least 1,500 or more years.

Interesting enough, the Qur'an does claim the original Bible was from the exact same source (Almighty God) and it (The Qur'an) is merely bringing back to us the original message that came with all the prophets from Adam to Jesus (peace be upon them all) - the message of "No God beside God" (Arabic: Laa elaha illalah).

The teachings of Islam from the Quran and the hadeeth of Muhammad, peace be upon him, are very clear and available in the original texts in Arabic for whomsoever would like to read them.

Now for the comparison to the Bible...

There are no "hidden" books (called 'apocrapha' by the Catholics) or 'alternate readings' of older, 'more authentic' manuscripts (see: Revised Standard Version of Bible, introduction.

*Original Text - means the actual text written down or recorded by or under the supervision of, the originator; as in: The Moses did not write what is in the "Books of Moses" because the last paragraph of Deuteronomy tells us Moses died and was buried. The Quran was both memorized by companions of the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and it was written down by his companions in books still remaining today in museums.

This is in the very beginning of my own Bible - given to me by my grandfather in 1954, when I was a youth. READ IT:

"The King James Version has with good reason been termed 'the noblest monument of English prose.' Its revisers in 1881 expressed admiration of 'its simplicity, its dignity, its power, its happy turns of express... the music of its cadences, and the felicities of its rhythm.' It entered, as no other book has, into the making of the personal character and the public institutions of the English-speaking peoples. We owe to it an incalculable debt."

"Yet the King James Version has grave defects. By the middle of the nineteenth century, the development of Biblical studies and the discovery of many manuscripts more ancient than those upon which the King James Version was based, made it manifest that these defects are so many and so serious as to call for a revision of the English translation. The task was undertaken, by authority of the Church of England, in 1870. The English Revised Version of the Bibles was published in 1881-1885; and the American Standard Version, its variant embodying the preferences of the American scholars associated in the work, was published in 1901."

"Because of the unhappy experience with unauthorized publications in the two decades between 1881 and 1901, which tampered with the text of the English Revised Version in the supposed interest of the American public, the American Standard Version was copyrighted, to protect the text from unauthorized changes. In 1928 this copyright was acquired by the International Council of Religious Education, and thus passed into the ownership of the churches of the United States and Canada which were associated in this Council through their boards of education and publication."

".... decision was reached that there is need for a thorough revision of the version of 1901..""In 1937 the revision was authorized by vote of the Council."

"Thirty-two scholars have served as members of the Committee charged with making the revision, and they have secured the review and counsel of an Advisory Board of fifty representatives of the co-operating denominations."

"Each section has submitted its work to the scrutiny of the members of the charter of the Committee requires that all changes be agreed upon by a two-thirds vote of the total membership of the Committee."

"The problem of establishing the correct Hebrew and Aramaic text of the Old testament is very different from the corresponding problem in the New Testament."

"For the New Testament we have a large number of Greek manuscripts, preserving many variant forms of the text. Some of them were made only two or three centuries later than the original composition of the books."

"For the Old Testament only late manuscripts survive, all (with the exception of the Dead Sea Texts of Isaiah and Habakkuk and some fragments of other books) based on a standardized form of the text established many centuries after the books were written."

"The present revision is based on the consonantal Hebrew and Aramaic text as fixed early in the Christian era and revised by Jewish scholars (the 'Masoretes') of the sixth to ninth centuries. The vowel signs, which were added by the Masoretes, are accepted also in the main, but where a more probable and convincing reading can be obtained by assuming different vowels, this has been done."

"... vowel points are less ancient and [less] reliable than the consonants."

"Departures from the consonantal text of the best manuscripts have been made only where it seems clear that errors in copying had been made before the text was standardized."

"Most of the corrections adopted are based on the ancient versions [translations into Greek Aramaic, Syriac, and Latin], which were made before the time of the Masoretic revision and therefore reflect earlier forms of the text."

"Sometimes it is evident that the text has suffered in transmission, but none of the versions provides a satisfactory restoration. Here we can only follow the best judgment of competent scholars as to the most probable reconstruction of the original text."

"Many difficulties and obscurities, of course, remain."

"Where the choice between two meanings is particularly difficult or doubtful, we have given an alternative rendering in a footnote."

"If in the judgment of the Committee the meaning of a passage is quite uncertain or obscure, either because of corruption in the text or because of the inadequacy of our present knowledge of the language, that fact is indicated by a note."

"It should not be assumed, however, that the Committee was entirely sure or unanimous concerning every rendering not so indicated."

"To record all minority views was obviously out of the question."

"The King James Version of the New Testament was based upon a Greek text that was marred by mistakes, containing the accumulated errors of fourteen centuries of manuscript copying."

"It was essentially the Greek text of the New Testament as edited by Beza, 1589, who closely followed that published by Erasmus, 1516-1535, which was based upon a few medieval manuscripts."

"The earliest and best of the eight manuscripts which Erasmus consulted was from the tenth century, and [yet] he made the least use of it because it differed most from the commonly received text; Beza had access to two manuscripts of great value, dating from the fifth and sixth centuries, but he made very little use of them because they differed from the text published by Erasmus."

"We now possess many more ancient manuscripts of the new Testament, and are far better equipped to seek to recover the original wording of the Greek text. The evidence for the text of the books of the New Testament is better that for any other ancient book, both in the number of extant manuscripts and in the nearness of the date of some of these manuscripts to the date when the book was originally written."

The words are in plain English. The second paragraph says it all, "Yet, the King James Version has grave defects."

Therefore, we must conclude the "King James Version" is NOT the Actual Bible sent by God to mankind.

Here is another interesting fact about the "King James Authorized Version" translation of the Bible in 1611 A.D. - It was really "NOT AUTHORIZED" by the King and he didn't even know it was done until afterwards. The proof is in the dedication to him - called the "Dedicatory"

Reprint (below) for clarification
THE EPISTLE DEDICATORYAnd now at last, by the mercy of god, and the continuance of our labors, it being brought unto such a conclusion, as that we have great hopes that the Church of England shall reap good fruit thereby; we hold our duty to offer it to your Majesty, not only as to our King and Sovereign, but as to the principal Mover and Author of the work: humbly craving of Your most Sacred Majesty, that since things of this quality have ever been subject to the censures of ill-meaning and discontented person, it may receive approbation and patronage from so learned and judicious a Prince as Your Highness is, whose allowance and acceptance of our labors shall more honor and encourage us, than all the calumniations and hard interpretations of other men shall dismay us. So that if, on the one side, we shall be traduced by Popish Persons at home or abroad, who therefore will malign us, because we are poor instruments to make God's holy Truth to be yet more and more known unto the people, whom they desire still to keep in ignorance and darkness; or if, on the other side, we shall be maligned by self conceited Brethren, who run their own ways, and give liking unto nothing, but what is framed by themselves, and hammered on their anvil; we may rest secure, supported within by the truth and innocency of a good conscience, having walked the ways of simplicity and integrity, as before the Lord; and sustained without by the powerful protection of Your Majesty's grace and favor, which will ever give countenance to honest and christian endeavors against bitter censures and uncharitable imputations.

The Lord of Heaven and earth bless Your Majesty with many and happy days, that, as his heavenly hand hath enriched Your Highness with many singular and extraordinary graces, so You may be the wonder of the world in this latter age for happiness and true felicity, to the honour of that great God

(Please continue to chapter 2 - "Are There Contradictions in the Bible?")

Chapter 1 - Is King James Version the Actual Bible?

Chapter 2 - Are There Contradictions in the Bible?Chapter 3 - Who is the God of the Bible?Chapter 4 - Does the Bible Say 'Jesus is God'?Chapter 5 - What Does This Prove?Chapter 6 - What To Do Now?

After reading them both (entirely) take some time to read again the letter of the person and then think for yourself what he said in the closing remarks.

He admits not having read either one of the Bible or the Quran - before he made up his mind.

So his decision is based on bias and prejudice (pre-judgement) and he is not on any guidance from God Almighty Allah.

This is even more obvious when you consider he wants us to reorder the surahs and ayahs in the Quran according to how he thinks they should be. We know from 1,400 years of recorded scholarly work, all of the hadeeth and Quran have been preserved and who originally heard everything, memorized it, wrote it down and to whom they transmitted it. We know when these people were born, where, how long they lived and where they died.

This is totally absurd and out of context with the way Qur'an is revealed. The way Quran is assembled is not from Muhammad, peace be upon him, it is from Alllah. Therefore, the argument about placing them in an ascending or descending order is totally illogical.

What next? Will he ask us to put them in alphabetical order? Or in order of the Arabic letters (alief, laam, meem, etc.)? This is nothing but nonsense.

Consider the Bible as regards order of revelation, and then think again about this silly idea. According to scholars of the Bible, the Book of Job (we call him Ayyoob) is probably the oldest of all books in the Old Testament. Yet it is almost in the middle of what they have today.

Then according New Testament scholars, the Book of Mark is actually than the Book of Matthew, the book before it.

The statement about the Bible being "revealed" to many different authors is quite incorrect. It came directly to the prophets, peace be upon them all, and to none others.

The people after them lost some (see:Bible reference to loosing the texts of Moses in the Arch of the Covenant during the Babylonian exile) and changing and ignoring some (see: Matthew 5:17, 18 Jesus claims Pharisees are not following the original Law (Torah).

Then come to the very clear problems of the contradictions and errors in the Bible (see our website www.IslamCode.com and compare to the Qur'an wherein there is not a single contradiction.

The fact is Allah challenges the unbelievers with the statements:

"Have not the unbelievers considered, if it (Qur'an) were from other than Allah, they would find therein many contradictions?" And the saying of Allah in the beginning of Surah Baqarah, "This is the Book wherein there is no doubt." (Baqarah, chapter 2, verse 2). And also, "If you are in doubt about it (Qur'an), then bring a book like it." And another challenge, "Bring ten surahs like it." And finally, "Bring one surah like it."

The Qur'an is memorized today by over ten million (10,000,000) living human beings, in the original text and in the original language.

There are more than a billion distributed around the world in written form - and each is exactly like the other.

There are no versions of the Qur'an.

Ever single Muslim has memorized at least some portion of the Qur'an in the original Arabic language.

Come let us compare these statements to any other religious book - or any book at allfor that matter and tell us what you find.

We are waiting.

Unless and until a person cleans their heart from biases and prejudices, they will never be guided by Allah. This is not about your relationship with them. It is about their relationship with Allah.

If they want truth - they need to pray directly to Allah and ask for it. But if they want misguidance - then let them pray to whatever they want - and they will be misguided.

You should offer to share what we have and listen to what they have (in a sincere effort to understand their perspective). Then pray for them and for us to be guided by Allah.

That's all there is to it. - Salam alaykum
