Feel Ramadan-returns empty-handed!

Wednesday 18 December 2013

"The necklace" is a very famous novel by french writer Guy de Maupassant on a husband, a clerk and his voracious wife. It was perplexing dreams. She loved exquisite dresses and expensive jewelry. He never denied his desires. It strives to answer.

Once they have been invited for a portion of his Minister. Rather than being happy to go for a glorious feast, it has hesitated to accompany because she did not have a suitable dress or jewelry to wear. Seeing his wife cries, he decided to use her savings all and he bought a dress. Subsequently, she demanded for a necklace go with it. He had no choice but to ask him to lend it to her friend. She borrowed an elegant necklace from her friend.

She was the prettiest woman at the party, the center of attraction and well liked. They got back after the party and learned that they had lost. The next day, they wandered through the jewellers in the city and find something exactly like what they lent her friend. It was too expensive for them and so he had past possession which he had inherited from his father. Despite this, they had to borrow a large sum, pay the wear and therefore ran into a huge debt.

She handed the replacement product to her friend and fled the city, fearing that his girlfriend he know. They spent ten years working hard to repay debt, doing all menial jobs, and she has come to know what heavy housework mean and heinous worries of the kitchen. After ten years, it struck to his girlfriend one day and she revealed that she leads a life of poverty stricken years past much because they met the last time, and the cause was be his friend. Her friend was amazed, and it revealed the shocking truth that her necklace was not original.

End miserable voracity!

Gluttony and amoral materialism are the evils of the root that are facing the world today. Thirst without money end has deceived actually be human. The yearn to accumulate wealth even deceive, injuring or killing anyone! Finally, an end to despair to a life of discontent!

Many scams, horrible killings and financial deceptions etc that we hear every day, running the single underlying cause - gluttony.

Every moment, the warning of the Koran, the rivalry mutual to stack things of this world away from you, until you visit cemeteries (102:1, 2), is proven true.

Caliph Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) has reminded us: "Like alcohol, there is intoxication in wealth."

Man is delusional to money and alcohol as it gets easily reduced to slavery by their traps and find it cumbersome to unleash the links.  Most of them are unable to offload these poisonings. Blessed are those who are released from the big of selfishness and greed. We should beg to be equipped with a spirit that does not hesitate to share our possessions with the needy.

Our beloved prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), ate dry bread, slept in a carpet torn, keeping his hand under the pillow. However, it has not itself make you cry. However, the Prophet of mercy (PBUH) burst into tears upon seeing a child poverty stricken. He has wrapped his eyes in distress in seeing those who were severely affected by the famine. A spirit that breaks to the pain of others while denigrating own afflictions, who has the gift of Prophet has advanced for us.

The great King Alexander, who conquered the land of Europe until Sindhi, was his last wish like that...

"When you wear my coffin to the grave, you will have to keep my hands hanging out coffin.  Make the world that Alexander the great, who conquered the world, know the empty hands, like a beggar."

Supplication to reach the soul force!

????????? ????? ??????? ??????? ?????? ?????? ??????? ?????? ????? ????? ?????? ?? ??????? ????? ?? ????? ?? ????? INCLUDING '' ????? ??

"Allahumma innate As 'alukka imaanan yubaashiru Khalbee, wa yakheenan Swadhikhan hattha a' alama a laa usweebanee Illa lee Kathabthanee wa ridan bimaa kasabtha maa.

(O Allah, I ask you for imaan it is deeply rooted in the heart, an honest belief that nothing will afflict me except what ordered you and a satisfaction in what you provided for me.)

It is a supplication that reinforce our imaan and give us the will and the courage to lead a peaceful life contenta decrees and the destiny of Allah. This supplication, Prophet (may peace be upon him) prayed while he was in "Makhamu Ibrahim", must be memorized by every believer. A true believer will never be touched by the anguish of the perils. The belief and hope in Allah, who loves one more than her parents and his companion, is that supports him and provide him with strength.

"If it was like that", "If I had that ',"if it was like that"... Prophet (peace be upon him) prohibited all these negotiations. He warned that these thoughts are doors that open to the evil acts. Koran reminds us that these talks are one of the disbelievers. "O ye who believe, do not be like those who disbelieve and told about their brothers when they traveled through the territory or are released to beat," if they had been with us, they would not be dead or were killed ", thus Allah makes this misconception a regret in their hearts. '' And it is Allah who gives life and causes death, and Allah is seeing what you're doing. » (3:156)

Things happen will happen definitely. No one can change it. We should bear this fact in our minds all the time and recall the same to others. How big a relief is the words of the Koran - "no claim except with the permission of Allah... (those) gives us.

Death is certain. Everyone, big or small, is a day designated by Allah. Each must cope with it, a few moments or a few days after birth or several years after. It is never possible for us to amend this date decided for us by Allah. "Even if you had been inside your homes, those ordained to be killed would be emerged from their deathbeds", this is what Allah has mentioned in the Qur'an (3). When everything is decided beforehand, it is useless to lament or grieve loss. Whatever Allah has taken over from us has given to us by him alone. We can only say ' Lillaah akada wa lahu maa maa has 'atwa, Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji' a ' (??? ?? ??? ?? ???? ??? ??? ???? ???? ?????? ??? "-Allah is what should be and what it gives, while we belong to Allah and to him we return")

Life will be pleasant for those who find the firm belief and peace in decisions of Allah. Thus, all the afflictions of this world will end and spirit will thrive with peace. Such will receive rewards endless and that does not count in the afterlife.

Feel Ramadan - power tap!

The famous Indian writer from the South, Vaikkom Muhammad Baig, repeatedly wrote that his proudly used to talk about luck, he got from 'touch' Gandiji to his MOM. Is this a big problem for touch? What is hidden in a "touch"?

Look at how a doctor examines his patient. It is able to obtain information in touching on the diseased veins. There is a magic obscured in his 'touch '.

You look a weeping baby, how easy a baby stops crying and falls asleep in the snugness of the hands of his mother, while it won't be that easy in the hands of others. Try to comfort people in distress Pat fondly, at least for a few moments, they would feel relaxed. A word of applaud said with a pat on the shoulder would be remembered throughout his life. If someone Pats on our backs and consoles "won't be lost" when fold us with the burden of afflictions, without doubt, a rain of tranquility leave us. A "benevolent" button sometimes influence very positively the strings of the spirits.

Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) encouraged us to console people sick by tapping on them. Prophet (PBUH) used to comfort the sick by tapping on their hands, face and head. He was very keen in showing his paternal love for his daughter Faye (may Allah be pleased with her), even after she grew into a woman. Can you imagine on the beloved husband in him which fuck his wives as soon as he leaves or enters the House? The magic of touch would exterminate the animosities and beautify the relations.

Prophet (PBUH) did not teach us more welcome with a Salam and walk. On the contrary, to shake hands and unite. The locking of the hands as well as the greeting of salaam whispers that we keep no rivalry. There is no animosity that would not wrap in the snugness of a touch of caresses. We owe it to inspire love in everyone. All human beings, other creatures, flowers and plantations should also get to taste the sweetness of our love. We have to win the hearts with a kind smile. We talk with everyone with humility and simplicity.  We should shine like a reminiscence flawless, even in those have met us only once. Nobody is alien, just need to realize that we have not had the chance to meet them. Well, all these are easier to say than to do. However, we must strive to be at least closer to them.

We should be able to take care of foreigners as how we do for our brothers. Contrary, even now, people in families are behaving like strangers to each other. This is the case for many families around us. Even walking close to close, they are reluctant to exchange a few words or a friendly smile or greet co-wife sincere. Several times, the relationship between dads and children are more prone to collapse. Ramadan is means to revive those broken relationships and reinvent our ties.

When we apply the magic of touch, our relations will reach a new shine. Now introspect, how long is is since I have tapped or embraced our MOM, Dad, child, brother or sister?

Feel Ramadan – Relish Again and Again

AppId is over the quota

There was a King who loved paintings. Once he invited the very famous artist of his country and ordered him to draw a picture of a very rarely seen bird.

Days and months passed by. Whenever inquired about the picture the artist replied :”I am Still drawing it”. The enraged King finally appointed some spies and they found nothing but a plain canvas in the artist’s room. They conveyed this to the King. Yet, the King controlled his anger and continued his await.

Finally, the artist called everyone to his room. The King and his companions set off to see the painting. Artist fixed his canvas on a board and covered it with a clothe and began drawing. In fifteen minutes the artist finished his painting- a mind-blowing picture! Ecstatically, the King acquired the unparalleled composition and asked: “If you could draw it so quickly, why did you delay it all these days?” The artist opened his drawer and produced bundles of drawings. The feathers, wings, feet, nails, eyes, beak etc of the bird, numerous pictures of each. He was watching all those and was training himself to draw the best. At the end, he was able to draw an elegant picture swiftly.

We are suppose to exert more care in making our deeds best. We have this watchfulness in all mundane things. When we build a house or simply, even when we buy a pen we yearn for the best. When we bring the same yearning in the deeds we perform, they will start getting better.

Ramadan is the training period to indulge in good deeds by trying to reduce flaws as much as possible. Because fasting is a very personal act of worship and no one can see another person’s fasting, only our sincerity can make it flawless. It’s possible that sincerity could be deteriorated in performing Salah or other acts of worships which are seeable by others. So, we are asked to be very vigilant in those. And we are warned that if we are performing with the intention to show others, it would not be acceptable in front of Allah.

How many times we taste the food that we prepare for the guest?  Again and again, to ensure that the spice, sour, salt or sweetness is just perfect, not more or less. We can not taste it after it’s served on the dining table. We need to have the same recheck while we perform each act of worship. The delicacies we prepare for our meeting with the Most Exalted Lord, the One who is much higher than in status than our guests, should be revived constantly to make it flawless. Let’s make it perfect, in Sha Allah!

Feel Ramadan – Losses weren’t detrimental

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

I could not sleep yesterday either. The pain was intolerable. Why is Allah making me suffer like this? I have never hurt anyone in my life, intentionally. I did not cause a difficulty to anyone. Yet, why am I going through these torments? Allah would have planned some goodness in everything, right?

I don’t have much dreams for this life. Should work as much as possible and bring my children up, give them education and send my little girl to nursery, all dressed up in new clothes. I don’t think, I will be able to do any of these. I can not even move my leg a bit, nor can I gulp a sip of water. No one would have ever endured this harrowing pain…

This is just one of those thousands of families who endure in the torments of life. She is just one among thousands of patients who have befriended nothing other than the moments wrapped in heart wrenching ailments. Those who do not have any dream, hope and fortune! Those who are destined to come across unpleasant things always. Finding food for one time is a big deal for them. So do with their medicines.

Those decayed houses and helpless children are not afar from us, rather they live very closer. The four year old daughter of aforementioned lady was sitting beside the bed, patting on her mom’s ailing hands. We went speechless in front of that withered little face. Through the thorny ways of tears, she is beginning her journey of life, detached from laughs and plays that kids of her age indulge in.

Meeting such people lights small lanterns of realization in our minds. Often, we whine that we have lost many things in life. We weep for the things we lost or never achieved despite our craving or hard work. Go and visit those live with such ailments. Then we will realize whatever we perceived as “lost” were never been real losses of life.

This life is not a big phenomenon. It’s just a duration of breathing, with a few countable breaths between the bridge of birth and death, amidst a handful of happiness, grieves, gains, losses, ties… Within these our life also ends. Through childhood, teenage and youth slowly lingering to senility and ailments.  This life is a few drops of rain water that spilled from the hollow of one’s hands. Distresses befall on us, even though we never long for.

Dr. Mustafa As-Siba’i, prominent scholar and social reformer from Syria says:

“Visit a prison at least once in your lifetime, you will get to know the value of freedom that Allah has given you. Visit a court once in your lifespan, you will get to learn the value of justice that Allah has given you. Visit a hospital once in a month, you will get to realize the blessing of your health that Allah has given you. Visit a garden once a week, you can enjoy the beauty of this nature which Allah has made for you. Visit a library once in a day, you will realize the value of thinking power that Allah has given you. Each moment, be in strong relationship with Allah, you will realize the blessings he bestowed up on your life.”

Feel Ramadan – Watchfully the One!

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

A ship was sailing from India to Britain, loaded with goods. One night while in the midst of Ocean, it was engulfed by an unexpectedly formed dreadful cyclone, lost its navigation and collided with a reef, causing major devastation. Using all the lifeboats and planks available on board,  the sailors traversed through the ocean, aimlessly. After a long while, they hit on a sandbank to realize the presence of a shore. Shivering in the cold, they spent a whole night in that unknown shore. When the dawn broke, they understood that it was an island with dense forest. They stranded on that alien land, seeking for something to eat. Frantically, they learned that it was a small island with no human inhabitation and less than 3 km in circumference.

There were no way out, thus they wandered through the forest. In between, they came across varieties of fruit trees and the fruits were tasting heavenly. Later on, they found pure water streams and cozy caves. They ate in full and dwelled in the cave. They thanked the Almighty gracefully for all the forms of shelter He has bestowed upon them. They abided there without any difficulty until a helicopter came for their rescue, after 2 weeks.

Haven’t we all faced at least an incident like this in our life? Haven’t we received an unexpected assistance, when we were drowning in the swamps of calamities? Such a benevolence which would bewilder us even today. Those are the moments that make us comprehend that beyond the boundaries of our imaginations, there is someone, The Most Exalted, who is watching and guarding everything very closely and carefully. Unfortunately, even after having gone through many such astounding events in life,  most of the human beings fail to elicit the remembrance of that Guarder.

Even if we yell “All Praises to You, My Lord”, with every breathe we take, it won’t fill even one percentage of our indebtedness towards Him. He is the One who invariably protects us with His boundless Mercy and Love. Despite the fact that we, the humans, forget to praise and continue living through ingratitude, He still forgives us. The Qur’an verse “Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.” [Qur'an: 100/6] should be interrogated in our lives.

We keep gratitude for a lifetime to some people who have helped us in this world. How much gratitude do we preserve for the One, who made our life splendid with small as well as giant blessings?

Do we have an answer for that Day when each and every blessing will be interrogated?

Feel Ramadan – Don’t get angry!

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

Soorya Krishnamoorthy, a south Indian writer narrates a story of a father and a son in his autobiography “Murivukal”(“Wounds”). Both of them loved each other and they never wanted to be separated even for a short period. They used to roam around like friends. The father was an ill-tempered person and used to behave rudely to his son when he gets angry. One day, he bought a new car. After driving the car for the first time to their home, father decided to take his son for a ride in the car. Meanwhile, the son scribbled something on the car, with an iron rod. The father got angry and brutally clobbered the son. Later, he realized that his son’s fingers are broken as a result of his beating. He took the son to a doctor, but no avail. Doctors affirmed that his fingers will never go back to normal. He wept bitterly thinking about his son. It is when he entered the car to cry in loneliness, he noticed what his son has written with the iron rod. He had written ‘I love my Pappa’.

This is what happens if we fail to bridle our temper. With a wise contemplation for a moment, anybody can easily subjugate the flames of anger. Nevertheless, many times we fail to do so. Sometimes, the outrage of a moment would be making lethal wounds.

Only when we attain self control, our lives and minds will flourish with virtues. Prophet (May Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon Him) was always been able to attain self control, even at those worst moments that would make anyone outrage, and thus his life is always exemplary.

When his beloved wife, Ayesha (RA), hurled a bowl with his favorite dish in anger, he was able to smile at her, sit down and gather all broken pieces from the floor, thus brought tears of regret in Ayesha (RA). That response from Prophet (PBUH), indeed is an exemplary lesson of patience and wisdom, for the people of all ages. His vast heart showed the willingness to love even his enemies dearly. He taught us that with anger no one will achieve anything but with compromise and love, we will. Anas (RA), who spent nearly 14 years with Prophet like a shadow said “Prophet never got angry with me”…

Ramadan is the best school to learn self-resistance. In Sural Al- Imran, Qur’an says about pious people:
“Who spend [in the cause of Allah ] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people – and Allah loves the doers of good;” (3:134)
